At Mt. Hood hearing, our goal is to help you hear better and stay connected with your loved ones and to the world around you. We want for you to obtain the best hearing instruments for your needs and we understand that cost is a factor in your decision-making. For this reason, we accept many forms of payments and offer various types of financing so that you don’t have to delay in correcting your hearing loss.

Yes there is a $50 fee that you will be charged.
Can I pay my balance with two or more forms of payment?
Yes, as long as the total balance is paid in full at the time of service.

We do not offer in-house financing but we do offer various payment plans to fit your needs. Please see the financing section for details.
Wells Fargo Financing
We want to give you the opportunity to purchase your new hearing aids using one of our financing plans offered through a special Wells Fargo Medical Financing Program. Qualification for financing is subject to credit approval. You will need to fill out a standard credit application that will require you to show income to prove that you can repay the loan. Plans we offer:
- No interest if paid in full within 6, 12, or 18 Months with regular monthly payments.
- Special Rate of 0% APR with 24 Months equal monthly payments.
- 12.99% APR with our extended payments interest plans of 36, 48, or 60 equal monthly payments.

Applying for Financing
How do I apply?
You can apply in person at our office or in the comfort of your own home if you have access to the internet. Contact us to find out how to apply at home.
Will you check my credit?
Yes, you will have to fill out a standard bank credit application which will authorize us to run a credit check.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes, it is only used one time to check your credit and to apply for your financing. The bank will be the only one that will have access to your information. We do not keep a copy of your personal application information at our office.
How long does it take to get a decision?
We normally get an instant decision from the bank but in some cases it may take up to 15 minutes for a decision.
What do I need to apply?
You will need to fill out the standard credit application and have a valid state or federal issued ID present.
What if my credit is bad or I have had a bankruptcy?
We recommend you apply with a co-signer to increase your chances of being approved.
What happens if I get denied?
The bank does not share with us the reason for your denial. You will receive a letter in the mail from the bank explaining why you got denied. You would need to re-apply with a co-signer or use a different form of payment.
Will I receive a card in the mail?
Yes, you will receive a credit card from Wells Fargo. This is not a Visa, MasterCard, or other major credit card and can only be used at locations where this specific card is accepted. This card is a Health Advantage Credit Card Program designed to pay for healthcare expenses only. Your card will be received within 14 calendar days of the credit decision. However, you will have access to your funds immediately so we can process your hearing aids right away.
How much will my monthly payments be?
Your monthly payment will vary depending on what plan you are on and the number of months of your promotion. Remember, if you are on a No-Interest plan or the Special Rate of 0% APR plan you will need to pay off the balance before the end of the promotion in order to avoid interest charges. Both the Special Rate 0% APR plan and the 12.99% extended payment interest plans, you will be required to pay an equal amount every month. To determine your monthly cost, you would divide your balance by the number of months you will be financing.
How much interest will I be charged?
The No-Interest or Special Rate plans will not charge you any interest as long as you pay the balance in full before the end of the promotion. If you decide to do an extended payment plan you will be paying 12.99% interest.
Can I pay it off sooner than the promotion period?
Yes, there are no pre-payment penalties on any of the plans.
What happens if I miss a payment?
You may be charged a late fee of up to $37. You should contact the bank right away to inform them of the situation and discuss how to make sure you are staying on track with your payments to avoid further issues with interest or fees.
What happens if I can’t pay off my balance during the promotion period?
What happens if I have a No-Interest or Special Rate plan and I can’t pay off my balance during the promotion period? You will be charged interested at 12.99% APR from the date of purchase.
Can I pay to Mt. Hood Hearing monthly?
No, your payments will need to be paid directly to the bank because they paid your total balance with us and you are now paying the them back.
Will I receive monthly statements in the mail?
Yes. You will receive monthly statements that will be sent out according to the billing cycle for your account. You can usually expect to receive the first statement around 30 days from your transaction date. Call the bank if you believe you should have received it and you have not.
Can I pay at a local branch?
Yes, but you must have account number with you when go to make the payment.
Can I pay online through the Wells Fargo site?
Yes, you can go to their cardholder site to manage your account. You can check with them directly for details.
Can I pay by phone?
Yes, you can also call in to cardholder services and they can take a phone payment.
Insurance plans vary greatly in terms of coverage and many plans do not have any hearing benefits. We would be happy to help you check your coverage and bill your insurance for you. For private insurance plans, we require payment in full by you and any reimbursement from your insurance company will go directly to you. We are an Oregon Health Plan provider and accept Open-Card plans and Care Oregon.

Does Medicare pay for hearing aids?
No, traditional Medicare does not pay for hearing aids but you might have a supplement or rider on your Medicare plan that offers some assistance towards hearing services/aids.
Can I go to any provider I choose and still have my insurance reimburse me?
Some plans require you to go to specific network providers. Some plans do allow you to be seen by your provider of choice. You can contact your insurance to find out how your benefit may differ depending on where you are seen.
What if I go to an out-of-network provider?
You may have different benefits for in and out-of-network providers. Each plan is different so check with your insurance company for details.
Can I finance my hearing aids while I wait for my insurance reimbursement to arrive?
Yes, the financing plans that we offer do not have a prepayment penalty so you can choose to pay for your hearing aids with financing then pay off your balance once your insurance reimbursement arrives.
